2018 - Love death & robots - Beyond The aquilla rift - Unit Image

Last year i had the pleasure to be part of the ambitious Netflix show Love Death & Robots.
Got back at Unit Image to help the studio to create the main character, Thom.
I was in charge of doing his head and body, from modeling, lookDev, grooming, to muscular blendshapes.
Head was scanbased, working closely with artdirector i had to bring some stylisation to him.
For the body i started from a basemesh from wich i hand sculpted his entire body, lot of fun on this part.
Obviously many artist were involved in the project, to name a few :
Laura Guerreiro did the clothes
Florian Malchow did some additionnal LookDev and grooming
Phil Nguyen did the muscular blendshape of the lower body and I did the upper body
Robert Pashayan was the character supervisor on the project.
Huge congrats to the team for bringing such an amazing results, the environments and renders are beautifull, and the animators did a great job considering the amount of challenge there was on this project.
Very proud of the result, and feel very lucky to be part of this.
